SMELT (KORYUSHKA): A Taste of Home, Naturally Dried & Salted
KORYUSHKA isn’t just a snack—it’s a memory, a tradition, and a connection to our childhood. This is the fish we grew up catching, the one that brings back the crisp air, the cold waters, and the joy of a simple, perfect bite. Now, we bring it to you in its most pure and delicious form, carefully dried and salted to preserve its delicate, natural flavor. Smelt length depends on catch and season, and can range from 4 to 7 inches long. Each package contains approximately 8 pieces, totaling 5.5oz (150g) of product.
How It’s Made
- Carefully Selected & Naturally Prepared. Only the freshest koryushka is chosen for its ideal texture and quality.
- Traditional Salting Method. The fish is lightly salted to enhance its natural flavor without overpowering it.
- Slow Air-Dried for 6 Days. Carefully controlled temperature and humidity preserve its tenderness, slight fattiness, and rich umami.
- Hand-Finished to Perfection. Each fish is dried whole, keeping its classic shape, deep taste, and authentic experience intact.
Why You’ll Love It
- Premium Quality. Our koryushka isn’t just delicious—it’s also packed with phosphorus, iodine, calcium, and vitamin PP.
- Clean & Natural. No GMOs, no preservatives, no gluten—just pure, high-quality fish.
- Soft & Delicate Flavor. The precise drying process keeps it fatty, tender, and incredibly tasty.
- A True Classic. The perfect beer snack, a nutritious delicacy, or a quick, protein-rich bite anytime.

Ingredients
Canadian smelt (Koryushka), salt.
SMELT (KORYUSHKA) is more than just dried fish—it’s a taste of home, a connection to the past, and a snack we can’t live without.
We sell two types of smelt: Far Eastern (less fatty) and Canadian (fattier). Usually the season for Far Eastern smelt is October-April, and the season for Canadian smelt is May-September. But it all depends on the fishermen's catch and the ever-changing conditions.
Which type is on sale at the moment, you can check with us before purchasing.
Enjoy the delicate, naturally salty flavor and soft, fatty texture in every bite!
